Short description
The gods took someone from you. Nothing that has stopped dying remembers what a life is worth. You cursed them all, and something answered with an offer: your vengeance, for your life. A dark roguelike auto-shooter. Make every pantheon answer.
Long description
Something was listening.
You had a home. You had someone in it. Then the gods took them, the way they take whoever they like: nothing that has stopped dying remembers what a life is worth.
So you cursed them. Not one god, not one pantheon: all of them, everywhere. Something far older than any god heard that curse and made you an offer: the justice you want, if you give up your life for it. You took it. It has guided you ever since, throne to throne. Everything it tells you is true. It just never tells you all of it.
THE LAST GOD is a dark-fantasy roguelike auto-shooter. You move; your attacks are your own. Survive the swarm, break the demigods, and bring down the god of every realm you enter.
Every realm is a climb
Three levels on Normal, then the same three on Hard, then on Nightmare, carrying one build all the way up. Each class makes its own climb, and a fall sends you back to the start of the tier, not the start of the realm. Stuck on a tier with a build that let you down? Spend essence to rebuild your start from scratch.
Four classes, eight evolutions
Fighter, Cleric, Mage and Thief. Each grows through three ranks as it climbs and, at its peak, chooses one of two evolutions that change how it fights for the rest of that climb. At level 10 each picks a second skill of its own from three: Charge, Frost Nova, Smite, Blink and eight more.
Runes that build on themselves
Open rune chests, spin the wheel, and slot what you find. Matching runes merge into rarer ones. No two builds solve the swarm the same way.
Take the gods' power
Bring a god down on Hard or Nightmare and its skill is yours for good: Thor's Mjolnir, Odin's Gungnir, Ra's Solar Sweep. Each answers in its own realm, for every class; spend the gods' blood to make it answer everywhere. Carry two at a time.
Five pantheons, and the thrones beyond them
Pagan, Norse, Greek, Egyptian and Japanese realms, each with its own monsters, demigods and gods, its own weather, a world beyond the walls that never quite holds still, and its own reason your curse found its way there. Some realms are not on any map.
Gods that fight back
Every god fights in phases, with telegraphed attacks to read and dodge, and gets harder as it bleeds.
Progress that outlives the run
The Reliquary opens up as you clear realms, turning what you bank into stat seeds, artifact slots, class mastery and starting bonuses. Artifacts drop from the gods themselves, each god its own, and you can refine the ones you keep.
Nightmare, for those who keep going
The hardest tier has its own currency, the gods' Ichor, and its own rewards: keepsakes, the relics mortals used against their gods, and vows that raise the stakes for a greater share.
A story told in fragments
A narrator who knows more than it says, shrines that remember their gods, and a Chronicle of everything you've uncovered. Each difficulty shows you more of how it ends.
Full keyboard and mouse, gamepad and touch support, with every action rebindable.
